Ropes & Gray Advises Bridgepoint Development Capital on Investment into IDHL
Ropes & Gray has advised Bridgepoint Development Capital (BDC) on its investment in IDHL, one the UK’s fastest growing digital marketing agencies, to support the company’s continued ambitious growth plans.
IDHL, a connected agency group head-quartered in Harrogate, employs over 240 people and serves a nationwide customer base supporting businesses throughout the process of digital transformation. This is achieved through a connected group of specialist companies, recognised for their specific expertise, but underpinned by the IDHL growth platform. Its expertise is centred principally around search engine marketing, eCommerce, web design and build, and automated email marketing.
This unique growth platform has enabled the group to rapidly evolve a number of recent complementary acquisitions, growing to seven brands across five locations. As a result of BDC’s investment, IDHL is now set to acquire further businesses in the UK and internationally, enabling it to provide an even greater choice to clients in order to meet their digital transformation needs.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity transactions partner Helen Croke, with the financing aspects of the deal led by finance partner Alex Robb. Other members of the team included associates Ciara Stratford, Nick Matthew, Michael Maccabe and trainee Thomas Bannatyne (private equity transactions); associates Mark O’Connor and Adjoa Kwarteng (finance); partner Rohan Massey, associate Juma Weeks and trainee Abbey Shaw, (privacy, data protection and cybersecurity); partner Ruchit Patel and associate Vincenzo Volpe (antitrust); partner Brenda Coleman and associate David Johns (tax); associates Nick Steynberg and Russell Fancourt (real estate); associate Michael Harris (litigation & enforcement). All are based in the firm’s London office.
