Ropes & Gray Represents Charlesbank Capital Partners and BOX Partners in its Acquisitions of The Packaging Wholesalers

Ropes & Gray represented Charlesbank Capital Partners LLC and its portfolio company, BOX Partners, a wholesaler of packaging, shipping, and industrial supplies, in the acquisition of The Packaging Wholesalers (“TPW”), a fellow nationwide packaging distributor. The transaction brings together two industry leaders, allowing the businesses to better serve their customers. Financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction was announced on April 25 in a press release.

Based in Boston and New York, Charlesbank Capital Partners is a middle-market private investment firm that is focused on management-led buyouts and growth capital financings and also engages in opportunistic credit and technology investments. BOX Partners, headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, was acquired by Charlesbank in December 2021.
