Ropes & Gray has advised Bluegem Capital Partners, a specialist pan-European private equity firm, on a transformational combination, through its Bluegem III fund, of Australian Bodycare and Ecooking, bringing together two highly complementary Danish beauty brands to create a scaled Nordic beauty platform.
The combined group benefits from complementary category exposure, broader channel reach and greater geographic diversification, alongside substantial operational synergies. The result is a profitable, vertically integrated beauty business with the scale and international footprint to stand out in the Nordic market and provide a strong foundation for further consolidation in European beauty.
The firm worked alongside Moalem Weitmeyer on Danish law matters.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partners Cataldo Piccarreta and Shona Ha with support from senior attorney Maria Giulia De Cesari, associates Carlo Grisostomi Travaglini and Lucrezia Cavuto, and trainee Mattia Montaini. Additional support was provided by litigation & enforcement partner Ruchit Patel and associates Mike Harris, Caroline Easterfield, and Alex Watts, finance counsel Ana Biloglav and associates Kahill Sarronwala and Trisha Shah, and tax partner Andrew Howard and associate Omar Asfar.
