Ropes & Gray advised Genstar Capital in its definitive agreement to sell the firm’s longstanding client First Eagle Investments to Victory Capital Holdings, Inc., for total consideration of approximately $7 billion. The transaction was announced on August 26.

Upon closing, the combined company is expected to have approximately $571 billion in total client assets, positioning the company as one of the largest publicly traded traditional asset managers in the U.S.
